Spicy Gobi Schezwan (Cauliflower in Schezwan Sauce)

By: Prasanna| Published: 6:09:00 AM

Spicy Gobi Schezwan is another variation of very famous street food "Gobi Manchurian".Spicy flavors will make you ask for more ๐Ÿ˜Š

How to make Lunch/Dinner more interesting? that's when you cook some spicy and restaurant / street food style dish, specially when you are HUGE restaurant food fan!
When it's a vegetarian day for us,I always wonder what to make so that everyone eats food without making faces ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜’ at me.
I like to eat vegetarian and I feel its good to eat vegetables/lentils/legumes to just keep the balance in our diet. We are all hardcore Fish/Chicken lovers,so I have somehow convinced myself that if I eat vegetarian food sometimes in a week,I will keep my body fit too. ๐Ÿ˜œ one way to get away from Gym.๐Ÿ˜
This recipe is more of  street food style than healthier version as the Cauliflower florets are deep fried.
Spicy and tangy street food is more alluring than regular vegetarian meal,of-course vegetarian meal has its own advantages but this recipe is more of street food in India

I have shared a lot of street food recipes. Here I am listing a few for you all so its better to have a look at them.

This recipe is variation of famous Gobi Manchurian which is relished across every part of the world where Indian food joints exist. I love the schezwan flavored rice/noodles, not just because its Indo-chinese dish but because its spicy and flavorful too.
Another recipe you can have a look at is my most loved Pan Fried Crispy Noodles.

Do not make this watery.
Heat oil in a deep frying pan, and slowly fry the florets to crisp. In a pan,add oil and when hot,add all the ingredients mentioned and fry for few seconds.Add half of the chopped spring onion, white and greens.

Tips:
  • Schezwan sauce is spicy,so add the sauce as per personal preference. For us this sauce quantity was fine,if you feel that's too spicy or less spicy, adjust accordingly.
  • Here you can do variation by adding diced onion and bell peppers too. I did not go for that as I just wanted to focus on cauliflower with schezwan.

    7. I love cauliflower, but my hubby isn't a fan. He is, however, a big fan of spicy foods. I'm certain that this recipe will be the one that wins him over to my way of thinking. I already have a big head of cauliflower, and tomorrow's my shopping day, so I can get the schezwan sauce. It's the only ingredient I don't already have. I'm excited to try this one. I'm pinning it.
