What Is A Ramen Mushroom?

A quick, delicious, and economical dish made with instant ramen noodles, caramelized mushrooms, and the best stir-fry sauce that makes this dish so good. Customize this recipe with vegetables of your choice and enjoy.

What Kind Of Ramen Should I Use?

Any kind of ramen works fine, whichever brand you can find in the grocery store.

What Type Of Mushroom Is In Ramen?

I have used white button mushrooms for this recipe. You can use mushrooms of your choice, portobello, or shiitake.

Ingredients To Make Mushroom Ramen:

  • Ramen Noodles: Instant ramen noodles are available in any Asian grocery store.
  • Sesame Oil
  • Mushrooms: White button mushrooms are very easily available in most stores, you can use them in this recipe.
  • Garlic
  • Ginger
  • Spring Onion
Stir-Fry Sauce Ingredients:
  • Dark Soy Sauce
  • Hoisin Sauce
  • Rice Vinegar
  • Sriracha
  • Brown Sugar
  • Water

How To Make Mushroom Ramen?

Step 1:  Bring a pot of water to a boil, add ramen noodles, and cook until they are done. Discard the water and keep the noodles aside.

Step 2:  Add sesame oil to a skillet, when it is hot, add garlic, spring onion whites, and mushroom to the pan. Cook until mushrooms are caramelized.

Step 3:  Add all sauce ingredients to the pan (soy sauce, hoisin sauce, vinegar, sugar, sriracha, water) and stir well to mix the sauce with vegetables.steps to make the mushroom ramen
Step 4:  Add ramen to the pan, flip the noodles till the noodles break well, and mix well with the sauce.

Step 5:  If you want more sauce in the noodles, then add a little water to the pan. Add sesame seeds, and spring onion greens and toss well. Serve while the ramen is hot!how to make mushroom ramen

Tips To Make Easy Mushroom Ramen:

  • Use any mushrooms of your choice in this recipe.
  • If you like soupy noodles, then add chicken/vegetable broth to the sauce while cooking, before you add noodles to the pan and let it simmer. Finally, add the ramen noodles and serve immediately.
  • If you like the flavor packets that come along with ramen noodles then add the flavor packets while cooking the vegetables.
  • Adding more vegetables works great too. Keep in mind for adjusting sauces and salt.
  • Toasted sesame seeds add flavor to the dish but even untoasted seeds work well.
  • Dark soy sauce gives flavor and color to the sauce.
