Instructions
- In a pan add oil. When it gets hot, add minced ginger, garlic, and onion. Stir fry these till soft.
- Add minced chicken to the pan. Stir-fry the chicken at regular intervals.
- Add all the sauces one by one. Add sriracha, ketchup, soy sauce, hoisin, fish sauce, vinegar, followed by brown sugar, salt, and stock. Mix everything well and cook till the chicken is cooked.
- Add vegetables of your choice. Here I have used cabbage, carrot, and spring onion. Mix well and cook for a minute or two till the vegetables get cooked.
- Serve over lettuce. Garnish with sesame seeds, red pepper flakes, crushed peanuts, and chopped spring onion.
Notes:
Mined chicken works best for this recipe but you can use chicken breast meat and chop it finely to use in the dish.
The choice of adding spice to the recipe is totally optional. You can add sriracha and red pepper flakes or totally skip them if you don't like much heat.
Use the lettuce that you like. Crispy lettuce works perfectly. If you get a Boston bib or Iceberg or Romaine hearts, they are best for wraps.
You can make the sauce and chicken filling ahead and refrigerate, just keep the vegetables separately in a zip lock and add them before serving.
