Ingredients:
For Sauce:
- 1/3 Cup Chicken Stock
- 1 Tbsp Hoisin Sauce
- 3 Tbsp Brown Sugar
- 3 Tbsp Soy Sauce
- 1 Tbsp Cornstarch + 1 Tbsp Water
- 1 Tbsp Rice Vinegar / White Vinegar
For Chicken:
- 1 & 1/3 Cup Chicken Breast,chunks/cubed
- As per need salt
- 1/2 tsp Black Pepper Powder
- 1 Egg, raw
- 2 tsp Soy Sauce
- 1 tsp Rice Vinegar/ White Vinegar
- 1/3 Cup APF/Flour
- 1/3 Cornstarch
Additional:
- Vegetable Oil
- 3 Garlic,cloves,grated
- 1 Inch Ginger, grated
- 5-6 Red Dry Chilis
- Sesame Seeds for garnish
- Spring Onion Greens,chopped for garnish
Instructions:
Make the sauce:
- In a mixing bowl add the ingredients - stock, hoisin sauce, brown sugar, soy sauce, cornstarch mixed with water, vinegar.
- Mix this well and keep aside.
Cook Chicken:
- In a mixing bowl add chicken, salt, pepper powder, soy sauce, egg, vinegar, flour, and cornstarch and mix well to coat the chicken.
- Heat around 2-inch oil in a deep frying pan.
- When the oil is hot enough fry the chicken in batches.
- (Be careful when frying in hot oil), do not overcrowd the pan.
- Once the chicken is fried till crisp then drain the chicken on a kitchen tissue.
Put the final dish together:
- In a pan/wok/skillet, add 3 tbsp vegetable oil and when its hot add ginger, garlic, red dry chilis and saute for a few seconds.
