Easy Grilled Shrimp

Grilled Shrimp Ingredients:

  • Fresh/Frozen Shrimp- the bigger size the better.Use jumbo size shrimp.I could not get my hands on jumbo shrimp so I have used medium sized shrimp, which normally after cooking curl up and get a little bit smaller in size.

  • For the grilled shrimp marinade: Mix olive oil,salt,garlic powder,onion powder,oregano,parsley,soy sauce,Frank's Hot Sauce,smoked paprika,cream,cumin and coriander.

  • Bamboo or metal skewers + grilling pan /outdoor grill

Tips To Make The Best Grilled Shrimp Recipe:

  • Always use fresh shrimp. They have lot of flavor compared to frozen shrimp.Even if you use frozen shrimp use uncleaned ones as they are equally good as fresh once thawed.

  • Add the marinade to shrimp, mix well to coat the marinade on shrimp well and let them sit while you get your grilling pan/grill heated up.No need of overnight marination.

  • Preferably use jumbo shrimp.I have used medium sized shrimp as the fish store didn't carry fresh jumbo shrimp that time. Medium shrimp after cooking curls up and became a bit more smaller but tasted amazing.

  • Make sure you do not overcook shrimp.Cook shrimp for 2 mins on each side.If the shrimp went from transparent to pink and opaque then done.Overcooked shrimp are rubbery.

  • If you are using wooden skewers then keep them soaked in water for at-least 30 mins prior to grilling.
