What to put in Italian Pasta Salad?
Italian Pasta Salad Ingredients:
Here is what you need to make this refreshing and easy pasta salad.- Pasta: I have used rotini, but you are free to use any pasta you prefer. Short pasta will work best for salads.
- Vegetables: I have used red bell pepper, English cucumber, onion, cherry tomatoes, and black olives. You can add or skip vegetables as per your preference.
- Salt & Pepper: To add that flavor to the dish.
- Feta Cheese: I love the flavor feta adds to any dish. You can instead use fresh mozzarella balls.
- Homemade Italian Salad Dressing: I have shared a recipe for this homemade dressing; it's easy and flavorful.

The Dressing:
I made homemade Italian salad dressing; it's easy, flavorful, and so good! You can optionally buy store-bought Italian salad dressing.To make this Italian salad dressing, you will need olive oil, white wine vinegar, oregano, garlic, dijon mustard, honey, thyme, parmesan, and basil.

How to make Italian Pasta Salad Recipe
- Cook pasta: In a pot, boil water with a little salt, add the pasta, and cook until al dente. Drain and rinse under cold water, toss pasta with some olive oil to prevent it from sticking together, and keep this aside.


Recipe Tips
- Do not overcook pasta, as it will soak up dressing. Keep the pasta slightly undercooked.
- I like this salad served chilled, but if you like to serve it at room temperature, then mix up all the ingredients and leave it over the counter until you serve.
- You can refrigerate this salad for 4 days.
- You can use any pasta of your choice in this recipe.
