Baked Chicken Meatballs

I love having this Italian Meatball Soup. You can try this; it tastes so amazing, plus if you are more of an appetizer person, then you can even use these to make Firecracker Meatballs.

Ingredients for these easy chicken meatballs:

  • Chicken:  Use lean meat, if not chicken, then use Turkey.
  • Egg:  Use an egg to bind the ingredients together.
  • Parmesan:  Adds so much flavor to the meatballs.
  • Cilantro / Parsley:  Adds flavor to the final dish.
  • Breadcrumbs:  Another binding agent. You can use regular breadcrumbs or panko.
  • Seasonings:  Salt, pepper powder, Italian seasoning, smoked paprika.
  • Onion and Garlic:  For the flavor, and grated/chopped onion for flavor and juices to the meatballs.

Ground Chicken Meatballs Recipe: FAQs

  • Can I use Turkey instead of Chicken? - Yes! Turkey works great for this recipe.
  • Can I use garlic and onion powder instead of fresh onion and garlic? - Yes! But grated onion adds juices to the meatballs, making them soft, and onion chunks give crunch. So choose as per your requirements.
  • How long can I refrigerate meatballs? - You can refrigerate cooked meatballs for a day or two, but avoid doing so as they get hard. Uncooked meatballs should be frozen, but you can refrigerate upto a day. Frozen can stay good upto a month.
  • How long can I bake the chicken meatballs? - Depending on the size of the meatballs, decide on your baking time. Regular-sized meatballs will bake for 18 to 20 mins. If you keep them in the oven longer, they get hard and dry. You can cook them by checking in between to make sure they are cooked thoroughly.
  • What to serve with chicken meatballs?- Pasta, spaghetti, sauteed vegetables, zucchini pasta.
