Few basic ingredients to put together in pot/casserole/dutch oven to make this classic chicken parmigiana along with pasta! isn't that great! Just one pot dish- no extra pots for cleaning,cooking pasta but just one pot to make the entire meal in under 30 mins.
Dice the chicken breast meat or thigh meat as per your choice and add,so no extra work for separately cooking and then shredding the chicken.

Chicken Parmesan Pasta Recipe Ingredients:
Following are the simple ingredients you will need to make this amazing one pot dinner.
Most of these ingredients can be easily found in your pantry.
- Chicken Boneless,diced/chopped
- Penne Pasta(or any pasta of your choice)
- Spices( Pepper powder,Italian seasoning)
- Mozzarella + Parmesan
- Marinara Sauce

What Kind Of Pot To Use For Chicken Parmesan Pasta Recipe?
You can make this recipe of chicken parm pasta in a skillet/ceramic crockpot / enamel pot / casserole or a large pot that you have been using for long and you love that.
I have used enamel dutch oven to make this recipe,but almost every pot works perfectly. You need to just check how the pasta fits well in each type of utensil and adjust cooking temperatures and timing accordingly.
How Many Calories In Chicken Parmesan Pasta?
This delicious,cheesy one pot meal will have 355 calories. If you feel more guilty of eating cheese then use low fat cheese or reduce cheese from the recipe.
I have also not used breadcrumbs in the recipe to make this recipe a little guilt free.
How To Make One Pot Chicken Parmesan Pasta ?
Step1: In a dutch oven,add oilve oil and let it get hot.
Add garlic and onion as shown in picture 1.
Step2: Add chopped/diced chicken as shown in picture 2.
Saute till the chicken is cooked and veggies are soft.
Step3: Add pepper powder and Italian seasoning to the pot as shown in picture 3.
Step4: Add pasta of your choice(I have used penne) as shown in picture 4.
Step5: Add marinara sauce and next add water to the pot.
Mix well and cover to cook on medium heat till 80% pasta is done(approx. 10 to 15 mins), as shown in picture 5,6 and 7.
Step6: Add parmesan and 1/2 of mozzarella and stir well.
Add remaining mozzarella grated and cover to cook further on lowest heat till cheese is melted well(approx 5 mins), as shown in picture 8.
Finally add chopped parsley and serve after it has slightly cooled(as shown in pictures 9 and 10).
Pro Tips To Make Chicken Parmesan Pasta:
- Chop the chicken into chunks or slightly smaller pieces to cook them perfectly.If you like to have larger chunks then dice them well.
- Use freshly grated parmesan and mozzarella in the recipe to get best flavor. Pre powdered parmesan does not taste very well compared to freshly grated.
- You can use penne or any pasta of your choice in the recipe.
- Instead of water you can use stock either vegetarian or chicken in this recipe.
- You can also some veggies like broccoli,green peas,carrots, if you are looking for little healthier option.
- You can make this vegetarian instead of adding chicken,then skip chicken and add beans,chickpeas,tofu or cottage cheese cubes instead

- 1 Tbsp Olive Oil
- 2 Cloves Garlic,minced
- 1 small Red Onion,chopped
- 1 Cup Chicken,boneless,diced/chopped
- 8 oz Penne/3 Cups Penne, Uncooked
- 2.5 Cups Marinara
- 3 Cups Water
- 1/2 tsp Italian Seasoning
- 1/4 tsp Black Pepper Powder
- As per need Salt
- 1 Cup Parmesan,grated
- 1.5 Cup Mozzarella,grated
- For Garnish- chopped Parsley
