Murg Malai Kabab

This is an update of my earlier post with updated pictures to treat your eyes!😊

I am a big fan of Kabab,as most of the time kabab is on my order. But these days my food order changed, as most of the time I order Chicken Lollipop for obvious reasons that my kid loves that!
Made these succulent, yummy and tender Chicken/Murg kabab at home and got over in no time and that went beyond my expectations.

My friend had mentioned once about malai kabab that she had once at a restaurant which were unique in its own way. So thought of trying them out myself.
This recipe was posted by me long time back when I had started my blog. I have updated my pictures here and also updated the write-up and recipe a bit.

Try this recipe, and you will enjoy the tender chicken pieces marinated/grilled/broiled in mild flavors and enjoyed steaming hot with a bowl of soup to accompany.
Well this was my weekend!
Do try these and enjoy and share your feedback!

  • 1 & 1/2 Tablespoon, Ginger-Garlic Paste
  • 3 Tablespoon, Hung Curd / Greek Yogurt
  • 10 Nos, CashewNuts
  • 1/4th Cup, Cream
  • 1/4 Cup, Shredded Mozzarella Cheese( Or any other)
  • 1 Tablespoon Coriander-Green Chili Paste
  • 1 Tablespoon Cardamom-Nutmeg Powder
  • Skewers (I used Bamboo, soaked in water for 1 Hour)

  • In a mixing bowl keep the cashews to soak in cream. Leave it for some time.
  • Then grind this to a smooth paste.
  • To this add salt, Black Pepper Powder, Ginger-Garlic Paste, hung curd,cheese,coriander-green chili paste, cardamom and Nutmeg powder..
  • To this add the chicken pieces.
  • Keep it refrigerated for 1 Hour.
  • Preheat the oven at 350F or 180 C.
  • Put chicken pieces on skewers.
  • Broil / Grill in oven for 15 mins first. Then turn over the skewers and broil / grill again for another 10 mins or till the chicken is cooked well.
  • Enjoy with mint chutney or any other dip.

  • The more you keep chicken to marinate the better the taste.
  • You can optionally add eggs to the mixture.

  1. Nice Recipe. Do you use the broil option or bake option for this in the oven?

  2. I use Broil or if you have Grill then you can use that too!
