This baked hot honey chicken recipe needs basic ingredients ideally available in your pantry.Ingredients to make the hot honey sauce for chicken:

How To Make Hot Honey Chicken?
Step 2: In a bowl add flour mix and keep aside.
In a separate bowl, add eggs, water, and hot sauce. Whisk well and keep aside.
Step 3: Add cornflakes to a ziplock bag and crush them with a rolling pin. Add these to another bowl and keep aside.
Step 4: Preheat oven to 400F / 200C and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
Step 5: Coat the chicken pieces with flour on both sides and shake off the excess flour. Dip the chicken in egg wash and coat it with cornflake spice mix.
Step 6: Place the chicken pieces on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Repeat this step for all chicken pieces.
Drizzle oil over the chicken pieces and bake for 15 minutes to 20 minutes.
Generously drizzle sauce over the chicken and serve.

Step 8: To prepare hot honey sauce, add all ingredients to a saucepan, cook on low heat, and let it simmer. Once the sauce starts to thicken, switch off the heat.

Tips To Make Hot Honey Baked Chicken
- Cornflakes are the key to getting that perfect crunchy chicken. You can use panko instead, but the crunch you will get with cornflakes is amazing.
- This recipe does not require any prep work. Just season the chicken, coat it, and bake it. It's that simple.
- I would not suggest freezing the sauce or the cooked chicken. The freshly cooked chicken is full of flavor and would lose that flavor when frozen.
- If you are freezing the leftovers, arrange them in a single layer and freeze them for up to a week.
- Reheating frozen chicken will be arranged in a single layer and heated in an oven until piping hot.
