Honey Sesame Chicken

Here's a new post....Honey Sesame Chicken!!
My hubby and kid loves to eat chinese food and specially from Panda Express....So i thought why not give it a try :) Wow that sounds fun isn't it!!
So i found a way to start cooking gourmet Chinese food !! Here's first attempt towards it and many more will follow soon..well I love their Pepper and Kung Pao so stay tuned... shall post recipes of that too!!
This recipe turned out super yumm and delish!!

Chinese Gourmet Chicken

  • 4 chicken breasts or 6 boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • 4 tbsp cornstarch 
  • 3 eggs 
  • salt and pepper 
  • ¼ cup Extra virgin Olive oil 
  • Oil for frying
For Sauce:
  • 3/4 cup honey 
  • 2/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce 
  • 1/4 cup ketchup 
  • 1/2 cup rice wine vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch 
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
For Garnish:
  • Sesame seeds 
  • 3 scallions, chopped
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees for 15 mins. 
  • Cut chicken into small cubes and season them with salt and pepper.
  • In a bowl place cornstarch, EVVO and slightly beaten eggs. Dip chicken into cornstarch and egg mixture.
  • Heat oil in a large skillet and cook chicken. 
  • Place the chicken in a greased baking dish.
  • In a mixing bowl combine honey, soy sauce, ketchup, vinegar, sesame oil, garlic and cornstarch.
  • Pour this mixture over chicken and bake for 45 minutes or until chicken is cooked. 
  • Sprinkle evenly with sesame seeds and chopped scallions.
