I wanted to start with something that I really cherish and enjoy eating over and over!! My pick was Chocolate Milk Cake :)
Ingredients:
- 2 cups Unsweetened Khoya / Mawa
- 2/4 cup Sugar
- 2 tbsp Cocoa Powder
- 6 tbsp Milk
- 2 tbsp ghee(clarified butter)
- Almonds and Pistachios for garnish
Method:
- Bring the khoya to room temperature. Heat on medium flame in a non-stick pan and heat the khoya for about 2 min.
- Add the sugar and milk to this. Keep stirring the mixture till the sugar is dissolved completely.
- Make sure the mixture does not get burned or stuck to the bottom of the pan.
- Once the mixture thickens, then immediately place half of this mixture on greased plate.
- Spread the mixture evenly with rolling pin.
- Mix cocoa powder to the other half of the mixture and spread it on top of the plain khoya mixture.
- Press it firmly with rolling pin.
- Garnish it with shredded almonds and pistachios.
- Let it cool and then cut it in desired shapes.
Tips:
- Grease the plate with 1 tbsp of ghee(clarified butter)
- For additional taste you can add 1 tbsp of ghee when heating the mixture.
- Variations can be done with this recipe depending on your taste. Such as instead of chocolate you can use any flavor for the cake.
