Something new again!!

This time I  am sharing another dish I tried for breakfast...Sabudana /Sago Appe!!

Awesome, simple , easy and quick breakfast dish...no fuss and ready in no time.. :)
These days I like sabudana a lot...I try to use it in different dishes possible...will post many dishes with sago soon!

These appe are awesome and can be done in no time. We can also call them Sabudana wada too,but since we won't deep fry them so lets call Appe!!

Sabudana / Sago Appe
Ingredients
  • 1 Cup Sabudana / Sago, washed and soaked overnight
  • 1/2 Cup Thin Poha, washed
  • 1 Small Onion, Finely Chopped
  • 1 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 1 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Garam Masala Powder
  • 1 Small Green Chilies Chopped
  • 1 Teaspoon Sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons Grated Coconut
  • as per taste Salt
  • 2 Sprigs Cilantro,chopped
Instructions
Wash and Soak Sabudana previous night of making the appe and keep them soaked in water overnight.,
Next morning,completely drain water from sabudana.
Add the washed poha,cilantro,salt,sugar,turmeric powder,garam masala,grated coconut,cumin seeds,onion and green chilies.
Mix well with your hands.
Make small balls of the mixture.
Now heat the appe pan and apply little oil to the holes.
Drop one ball in each of the holes and cook on medium heat till the appe are done.
Enjoy with chutney of your choice!!

Tips:

  • For these appe, if you cover the pan and cook the appe will turn soggy,so do not cover with lid when cooking.
  • Onion is optional. These will taste good even without onion.
